The River is Fun
There are a number of river boats on the Thames - including the Thames Clipper which is a commuter service. Very comfortable and a great way to see London from another perspective
Tower of London
One of my favourite places in London is the Tower of London-full of history, it watches the Thames... where the Beefeaters tell tales of political intrigues and misfortunes, lost princes and doomed queens...where if the ravens fly away the great White Tower will crumble and a terrible disaster will befall England...the Crown Jewels are located here as well! It's a unique experience and one of the most authentic...
A true milestone in tourism but don't bother if the weather is poor!
The London Aquarium
The London Aquarium is right next to the London Eye on the south bank of the Thames. It is very child-friendly and was an enjoyable family experience for all of us...don't miss the shark feedings!
Hampton Court Palace
They're celebrating Henry VIII's accession to the throne this year, so have a lot of Tudor themed events on here. The palace itself sits on the Thames, just southwest, outside London and it's a great day out! We caught the train to Hampton Court station from London's Waterloo station, although next time we'd try and see more locally from the R68 bus that goes there too (from Richmond station).
